GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To provide administrative support to the Food Service Manager and Food Service department. Receives immediate supervision from the Food Services Manager and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: More than one year of work experience in an office environment, including graduate work and internships.
Special Requirements: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain food handler’s license within first 14 days of employment. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be insurable and maintain insurability under the College’s automobile insurance policy.
Knowledge of: 1. English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation. 2. Office methods, including filing, data input, record maintenance, and letter/report writing. 3. Principles and procedures of basic record keeping. 4. Budgeting practices. 5. Common office equipment. 6. Proper cash handling. Skills in: 8. Written and oral communication. 8. Exceptional customer services. 10. Reading and basic math. Ability to: 11. Operate computer and office equipment. 12. Communication clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. 13. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with those contacted in the course of your work. 14. Handle customer transactions and inquiries accurately.
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
