GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The main purpose of this position is to support the college including, but not limited to; technology checkout and repair, software installation and support, hardware support, multimedia control systems, projection systems, webcams, and audio/video recording equipment. The position will also assist with Help Desk support as needed. Receives general supervision from the Manager of Customer Support Services and exercises no supervision. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or university. (A minimum of 12 college credits plus relevant work experience may be substituted for required degree)
Experience: More than one year of work experience in an IT environment.
Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology.
Knowledge of: 1. Computer software, hardware, peripherals, and a variety of internet applications. 2. Effective and appropriate communication with supervisors, co-workers, and customers using email, telephone, chat, and/or verbal communications. 3. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Skills in: 4. Interpersonal communication. 5. Proper data and information collection. 6. Problem-solving and decision-making. 7. Documentation and recording information. 8. Effectively teaching and training others. Ability to: 9. Organize and prioritize multiple tasks successfully. 10. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. 11. Work collaboratively as a team, or independently. 12. Stay current on emerging technologies.
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
