GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for creation and supervision of effective first-year experience program. Develops campus programming focused on activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Oversees new student orientation and Peer Leadership initiative. Builds effective working relationships with faculty in Learning Framework discipline. Reports to the Director of Student Engagement and exercises supervision over professional staff.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: More than one year of work experience in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: More than one year of work experience at a two-year college.
Special: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are fluent in conversational Spanish, and can also demonstrate multicultural awareness.

Research and implement program development techniques. 8. Collecting and implement program development techniques. 9. Collecting and verifying statistical data. 10. Proficiency with Microsoft applications, internal software, and assistive devices and software. Ability to: 11. Work collaboratively in a team. 12. Understand student challenges in the first year of college, and to understand peer mentoring in higher education. 13. Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. 14. Apply principles of effective public relations and leadership. 15. Identify, analyze and solve problems. 16. Resolve conflicts and reach consensus through discussion and negotiation. 17. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Sedentary: Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
